Polignaro a Mare via Conversano : (total travel time 1hr 4 minutes)

A gentle, relaxed trip from the Trulli to the sea at Polignaro a Mare, a photogenic old town on the cliff tops of the Adriatic sea, full of small restaurants , bars and lovely sea views.

The route takes you towards Alberobello, then to Conversano and onto Poligignano a Mare

Conversano has a well preserved Norman castle from the 11th century, and a lovely romanesque / baroque cathedral. A lovely place to stop for a coffee and a stroll, before heading to the sea.

Polignano a Mare is a gem of a place, perched 20mtrs over he Adriatic with panoramic views and marvellous sunsets. it offers all the right ingredients for a perfect day out. The tiny old town, reached through the Porta Vecchia gate, combines charming, white-washed streets with beautiful old churches such as the Chiesa Matrice. You may find yourself getting lost in the winding streets, but you won’t mind at all. Before you know it, you will have reached one of three panoramic terraces offering breath taking views of the beautiful Adriatic Sea and coastline.
